Payment Type

A TRX Order has 3 possible payment types: Private, Fee Waiver Order (IFP), and Other Govt Paid.

Private transcript orders include any order placed, and paid for, by a non-Fee Waiver Order (IFP) or non-government entity; most often these are litigants or attorneys.

Fee Waiver Order (IFP) transcript orders are paid by the Court which occurs when the court deems a defendant unable to pay.

Other Govt Paid transcript orders represent orders placed by a government entity which does NOT come under the Fee Waiver Order (IFP) category (e.g, a Judge, govt agency, etc.).

Requested Delivery Date

There is a fee for written transcripts that is paid directly to the court reporter before she or he prepares the written transcript. Transcript rates are set by the MN Judicial Council. If you are low income and have a fee waiver order (IFP) in your case, you can file a Supplemental Fee Waiver form (#IFP103) to ask the court to waive the transcript fees. A judge must approve the fee waiver before the written transcript can be prepared. If the judge denies your request and you still want a transcript, you must pay the fee before the transcript can be prepared.

Hearing Dates

The Hearing Dates and Estimated lengths are mandatory. Choose the hearing date you want transcribed. Do this by directly entering the date in the form mm/dd/yyy or by clicking the calendar and selecting the required date.

To obtain an accurate estimate, it is helpful if you specify how long the hearing ran for that day. If you only want portions of the day transcribed, try to estimate the the total hearing time for the specifed events on that day. If you want more than one day transcribed, click ADD ANOTHER DATE and repeat the previous steps.
